- Mission:
- "To unlock America’s potential by strengthening families in at-risk communities through effective parent education and support programs."
- Volunteer Duties:
- Volunteers can be reading buddies, prepare educational materials, photocopy, do backyard work, do minor building repairs, prepare lunch, answer phones, and help organize.
- Volunteer Requirements:
- Volunteers must be 18 years of age and pass a background check.
- Training:
- On site training and guidance is provided.
- Time Commitment:
- Minimum service hours are 1-8 hours Monday-Friday.
- Group Volunteering:
- Groups are welcome on community service days and special events like Christmas or Spring Celebrations.
- Recommended For:
- Those in the fields of social work, education, and early childhood, and others.
- Benefits:
- Volunteers gain hands on experience in the fields of parenting and early childhood education, while being involved in special projects and helping to improve the well being of Waco families.
